We traveled south for the ACAT NADAC trial this past weekend. It was one of the first years it hasn't snowed at that trial! It was still chilly, but the roads were nice and dry for the drive.
We didn't have the highest Q rate for the weekend, but we had some really nice runs. Mariah was her usual self and Q'd in all 4 regulars. She had great distance in the morning classes, but by the time we got to chances in the afternoon, she wasn't in the mood to go away. Oh well - we'll get those chances Q's one of these days!
Brisco on the other hand, gave me great distance as usual! He qualified in both chances runs and even got the bonus line on Sunday's chances run. The Saturday chances was a tough one and only Brisco and Maxx (Lorrie's) got it. We almost got a second bonus line in jumpers on Sunday, but Brisco had a slight change of lead towards another jump that cost us the bonus. He still got a Q and 1st place. Brisco is only one regular Q away from his NATCH and Versatility NATCH. He came very close to getting it on Sunday, but he knocked one bar towards the end. Hopefully he'll get it at our trial at the end of the month!
Overall we had a fun weekend. I have some things to work on with both dogs in the next few weeks, so hopefully our Q rate will be higher at our trial. No videos this weekend, but I'm hoping to get some at our next trial.
